MND-SMART protocol published

We are committed to transparent communication, and as part of this we have published the trial protocol in a scientific journal. This is important for others who are, or wish to, carry out clinical trials with an adaptive platform design, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases.

It is important for people with MND to know that this information is available and that the fine details of the trial is planned in advance. The full protocol will be of interest to those wanting to know more about the numbers of people needed to participate, how they are allocated to treatment/placebo, what data is collected, how the data is stored and analysed statistically, and how the trial is monitored and audited.

The publication is freely available to all and is written in technical language.
