Dr Hatice Bozkurt
Rowling Scholar
As a Rowling Scholar, Hatice is dedicated to advancing MND research by identifying and validating robust, reliable, and minimally invasive biofluid-based biomarkers. Her work focuses on evaluating candidate biomarkers for their diagnostic, prognostic, and pharmacodynamic potential to support decision-making in MND clinical studies.
Hatice earned her medical degree from Istanbul University in 2017. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a dedicated clinician in NHS hospitals, providing care to patients with various conditions, including neurological disorders. She has also actively contributed to several neurodegenerative disease trials, including MND-SMART, the UK’s largest trial focused on MND.
